The Coven

An aquelarre is what Spanish calls a gathering of witches — and that is exactly what a group of women taking care of each other looks like from the inside. This is the ritual for the tribe: I come to your villa or your hotel with everything the afternoon needs, and the group takes turns while everyone else does exactly what a girls' trip in Ibiza is for. Music low, pool loud, candles when the light drops.

The format is simple. The bride — or the birthday girl, or whoever the group decides deserves it most — receives the complete ritual, unhurried, exactly as it is served on the rest of this menu. Around her, each of her coven receives her own shorter ceremony: neck, back, shoulders, the parts of a woman that carry the group chat, the logistics and the airport runs. Nobody waits in a clinic corridor; the waiting IS the party.

Book it as the pamper evening before the big night, or as the slow, forgiving morning after it. Three to six women, one therapist, several hours of the villa smelling of warm oil and someone laughing in the pool. The photos will be beautiful, but what you'll remember is the moment the group went quiet — all of you, at once, for the first time all week.
